Amy Rae Marcotte

Amy was born to Les & Deb Brautigam on May 29, 1987. She completed their already beautiful little family, along with big brother Mitchell.
Amy grew up on the family farm south of Prelate and attended K-12 at Leader Composite School. She enjoyed volleyball and softball, but her biggest joy was spending time with her friends, who remain her lifelong friends.
After Grade 12 in 2005, Amy ventured off to Lethbridge College, taking a marketing course, where she met the love of her life, Ryan. After college, they moved to Medicine Hat, where Amy enrolled in hairdressing school. Upon completion, she was employed at Mirage Salon.
In 2010, they moved to Prelate, where Amy worked at Salon J with Jen Scory and Colleen Dietrich.
Amy and Ryan were married on August 13, 2011, and one year later welcomed their first beautiful baby girl, Scarlett Rose. They were then blessed in 2014 with their second daughter, Emery Estelle. In 2016, they completed their little family with a handsome baby boy, Beau Brady.
Amy worked diligently while raising their family. In 2017, Amy and Ryan purchased the hardware store in Leader (Ace Hardware) and later added a lumber yard to the mix.
They worked long, hard hours to create a successful business while keeping up with family and home - but they did it, and they did it together.
In 2024, they sold the hardware store and formed a partnership in Wellcork Industries, where Amy handled the books.
Amy was a woman of many talents, but her greatest accomplishment was her family - Ryan and her children, whom she loved with her whole heart and soul.
Amy's radiant smile and vibrant personality drew people to her wherever she went. Quick-witted and uniquely humorous, she had a way of making everyone around her laugh - something her friends can easily attest to. She loved her friends and family beyond measure, and that love was deeply and wholeheartedly returned.
