Life story

Our beloved Babe was born on April 12th, 1939 to the late John and Florence “Tootsie” (Kittelson) Baron Sr. in International Falls. He graduated from the Falls High School in 1957. In 1959, Babe was united in marriage to June Stone and they were married for 25 years. They were blessed with 3 beautiful and caring children Kristine, Michael and Julie. He had many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, playing cribbage or Texas “Holdem”, steel darts and gathering with his family. He enjoyed gardening and canning. He even loved to take spur of the moment trips to the casino! Whether he won or lost it didn’t matter. The smile on Babe’s face was always big and contagious to everyone around him. He had a great sense of humor that made everyone laugh!

Message from Cody - Oldest Great Grandson

Today I went and saw you and the whole family was there. And it hit me that you weren't going to be here much longer. So that night I went for a ride to my peaceful place my shack. Did a lot of thinking about what all the great things you have done for me and our family you have given us so much wisdom and you were always there when we needed you. You have made me the man I grew up to be and I couldn't have asked for a better grandpa than you. I know your always going to be looking down on me I hope I can continue to make you proud. I mm sitting hear writing this watching the northern lights and can't help but remember when you told me they were spirits lights calling home a loved one. I just want to tell you I love you and I am so grateful you have been there for me I love you grandpa and I hope you fly high this is not good bye this is see you when I get there. Cody has had this message on his phone for some time and now has somewhere to share it. He said he will forever cherish this memory and others he had with grandpa. Love, Cody
