Wadim & Esther Kaminsky
Thank you for your service
Wadim served in the armed forces. We honor that service here.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Esther Kaminsky, who left us on March 27, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born on December 27, 1929, in New York, NY to her parents Alvino and Andreina.
Our mother, known to many as "mama," was a devoted wife to her husband Wadim Kaminsky, who passed away on May 4, 2019, after more than 60 years of marriage. Their love was a true inspiration to all who knew them, and their commitment to each other was unwavering.
Esther was a devout Catholic, and her faith was a source of comfort and strength to her throughout her life. She was a loving and devoted mother to her three sons, Robert, Daniel, and Thomas, and a loving and devoted grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Esther had a passion for quilting and needlework, and she spent many hours creating beautiful items for family and friends. Her meticulous attention to detail and love for her craft were evident in every piece she created.
Esther worked as a cash office associate at the Alexandria K-mart store, retiring after 25 years of service. Growing up in NYC, she never acquired a driver’s license, so she rode her bicycle to work most days of the week, a testament to her dedication and work ethic.
The loss of Esther is felt deeply by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace, knowing that she was loved and appreciated more than words can express.
Rest in peace, mama, we love you and miss you dearly.
