Miss you everyday buddy. Love you
Jacob (Jake) Dean Sinclair was born Oct 23, 2006 in Fredericksburg, VA to Cynthia (Cindi) and Christopher (Chris) Sinclair. Jake grew up in Stafford, VA where he attended Widewater Elementary School, Shirley Heim Middle School and Brooke Point High School. Jake worked for Prince William County Park Authority at Locust Shade Park and had just started working at Domino’s Pizza on Jan 2, 2024.
Jakes favorite subject was lunch although he did enjoy carpentry, history and gym class. He loved watching and playing sports. He started playing football with Stafford Parks & Rec in fall 2015 and played on the Falcons, Giants and Bears. In middle school Jake played football and wrestled at Shirley Heim. Once he started high school he continued playing football and found a new love for lacrosse. The day he decided to play lacrosse he came home and said he was joining the team because Coach said he could hit people. When Jake wasn’t playing on the field he was watching every sport. He loved going to the basketball and volleyball games at Brooke Point and cheering for the Washington Redskins. He would take for hours with his uncles and cousins at family functions about football.
Jake also loved video games, traveling to new places he especially loved Outer Banks, Pensacola and Deep Creek Lake. On the day he left us he was talking about how much he dreamed of going to visit Colorado one day because he loved the mountains. I was surprised because I thought the beach was always his favorite place. Jake loved hanging out with his many friends going to Embrey Mill to practice ball, the movies, concerts or out to eat.
The only thing he loved more than sports was music! He always had his AirPods in listening to his favorite songs.
Jake was so full of life. He loved his family and friends deeply especially his little cousins who looked up to him. He always showed kindness and compassion to those around who needed it whether it was an animal, his elderly great grandmother or someone in need of a meal. He would give his last bit of cash (my change) whenever he had it to anyone he saw in the marketplace asking food and didn’t question whether or not they needed it because it made him feel good to help someone else.
Jake hadn’t totally figured out what to do after high school. He tried ROTC but his hair was too beautiful to stick with it. He was planning to join the fire academy senior year hoping to make a career of it but if not he was also considering trade school for electrical or carpentry but he still also thought about joining the Navy he just didn’t get the time to figure it out. Whatever he did he would have been great at it.
Jake is missed everyday by all of his family & friends.
