Mom had an old soul, a big heart and a gift for making others laugh. She was loyal, kind, empathetic and she was always there when someone needed a friend to talk to, a shoulder to cry on and she always had your back. She loved her family beyond measure (8 sisters and 2 brothers). Her bond with her older sister Dorothy and a younger sister Cindy was the kind of life long friendships that rarely exist. This lady was one of a kind. She was the kind of friend who made everyone feel included, and someone whose kindness stayed with you. She worked her butt off so that I could have whatever I wanted. She was always doing something retarded to make me laugh. She tolerated a lifetime of me bringing home stray animals. She knew it’s what made me happy and she embraced it. She was my mom and my best friend. She truly made this world a better place.
