Luke Wernsman
Live Like Luke
Thank you for stopping to learn about Luke.
Luke Wernsman was 16 years old and lived in Somonauk, Illinois. He was the son of Steve and Jenny Wernsman, a little brother to Andrew, a big brother to Malorie, and someone deeply loved by his family and friends.
Luke was a Somonauk High School student and a proud Bobcat. He loved sports (soccer, basketball, and baseball) and was really starting to get into wellness and working out. He loved road trips, vacations, and being on the move with his family.
But more than anything, Luke loved people.
He had an old soul, a big heart, and a gift for making others laugh. Luke was loyal, kind, empathetic, and effortlessly funny. He was a storyteller who could talk for hours, a friend who made everyone feel included, and someone whose kindness stayed with you.
He was part silly, mostly kind, and always up for a little innocent fun. Luke is missed beyond measure and we know we will all be reunited with him someday.
Luke’s life was far too short, but his impact was not.
