Rani Louise Montoney

Lived 20 years
Life story

Rani was born in 1979 in Sulpher Louisiana where her mother Judy was a jockey. She lived most of her life in Ohio and was an avid horsewoman. She would spend hours in the barn and besides 4H she was in Pony Club with many ribbons and awards. She graduated from Crestview High School and was attending her second year at the University of Akron when she became ill with cancer. Rani and her family spent many summer vacations in Ocean Park where her extended family had done the same for 6 generations. Her Aunt Joyce’s cottage the Owl’s Nest was her favorite place with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins around. The bench at the end of Colby was dedicated by her Whitney family and in 2020 her beloved aunt Joyce’s plaque joins hers. Both of them sadly missed by all.
