Travis M. Staker, 38, of Yates City, died Sunday, December 25, 2022 at his home.

He was born May 30, 1984 in Peoria, the son of Candy Staker. He married Sarrah A. Wagher in November of 2021. Survivors include his wife, his parents, Scott (Candy) Werneburg, two children, Ethan and Ella, his grandparents; Richard (Cathy) Carrasca Staker, Tim (Karen) Gill and Delores White, his sister, Ashley (Ben) Stivers and their daughter Lucy, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ted White, Lorayne Larsen and Florence Carrasca.

Travis attended Williamsfield High School and later attended Princeville High School, where he graduated in 2002. Travis worked as a diesel mechanic for Caterpillar since May and previously worked for Digital Copy Systems in Peoria for many years. There was nothing Travis could not do; he recently completely renovated the home in which his family resides. He enjoyed paint and autobody work, tractor restoration, and projects around the house. He had many projects he was currently working on, but the most important one was restoring a car for his sons upcoming 16th birthday. Travis was a family-man who would do anything for anybody. He especially loved his wife and children and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them.
