Joseph Keith Elliott
Joseph "Keith" Elliott, lovingly known as Keith, age 69, of Fancy Farm, KY passed away Saturday morning May 17, 2025 in Gilbertsville, KY at his lake home. Born on September 15, 1955 in Mayfield, Keith was the eldest son of Rudy and Judy Elliott and the big hearted protector of his seven siblings and a multitude of friends.. He was raised in the close-knit community of Fancy Farm where he would one day return to, after building a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to his family.
Keith spent many years in Sikeston, Missouri, where he worked and eventually retired from the Sikeston Power Plant. After retirement, he returned home to Fancy Farm and discovered a new sense of purpose in giving back to others. His work with Paducah Easter Seals reflected the deep compassion and empathy that defined him. Whether taking clients on outings to the mall, casting a line while fishing, or enjoying a day on the boat, Keith had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and included. His gentle spirit and kind heart left a lasting impact on all who crossed his path. Keith had a deep love for all things Kentucky Lake. Whether he was boating, birdwatching, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature, the lake was his sanctuary. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time there with his family. A perfect day for Keith was one spent on the pontoon boat with his loved ones-swimming, tubing, and searching the shoreline for treasured rocks and shells. Above all else, family was the light of Keith's life. He adored his children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to show it. A proud and supportive father, he was also his grandkids' loudest cheerleader at every game. Keith loved gathering loved ones, firing up the grill with one of his signature dishes, and ending the evening with a spirited game full of laughter. His empathy extended far beyond his own family-his welcoming nature made everyone feel like a part of the circle. Keith is survived by his wife of 45 years, Regina Clapp Elliott; daughters - Ashley (Rick) Stubblefield and Andrea (Brett) Hoskins; son - Austin (Bailey) Elliott; and bonus son - Kevin Elliott. He was the proud grandfather of Ashton, Ansley, Aubrey, Elliott, Adam, Abigail, Fletcher, Cameron, Keston, Korbin and Klarke. He is also survived by his devoted parents, Rudy and Judy Garland Elliott; and his siblings; Sharon Elliott, Debbie Seay, Carol (Eddie) Elder, Susan (David) Curtsinger, Stan (Jay) Elliott, Mark (Heather) Elliott, Mike (Amy) Elliott, brother-in-laws - Larry (JoAnn) Clapp, and David (Carol) Clapp. He also adored his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father in law - Tom and Ruth Clapp; grandparents - Willard and Cecilia Elliott, William McKinley and Mary Magdeline Garland and his step-mother - Francis Toon Garland. Keith's presence brought light, joy, and steady love to all who knew him. He never met a stranger and was known for being friendly, compassionate, and caring to everyone. A great daddy and an amazing Papa, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. His memory will live on in every bird song, sunset, lake breeze, and family gathering he so dearly cherished.
