As a fiercely loyal and protective mother it took a while for you to warm up to me but when the ice melted it was like I was your son all along. You showed me patience and understanding and gave guidance when needed. You opened your home to me and made sure I was included in anything McDaid. You were a second mom to me and I appreciate having you in my life. I hope you’re resting with Mikey and the other McDaids and friends that crossed before you. I promise to look over your daughter and grandchildren until it’s my time to come home. Love you and miss you.
Your Son-In-Law,
Big Mike
I was blessed to be your brother. Not by blood but by CHOICE. Sometimes that bond is stronger than blood. I think about you nearly every day and I pray I get to see you again on the other side.
Sadly on June 12, 2025 we lost Patty after a brief illness. Patty was a beloved Mother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend and so much more. Aunt Patty showed so much love and support for her family. Fiercely loyal. So many fun memories.
Mike GibsonVery, very loyal. And she loved being a McDaid. It showed in everything she said and did. She will be dearly missed.

It's so hard to believe it's been a year. Well, over a year now but who wants to post on time. You are missed. Miss your phone calls, miss your wisdom, miss your hanging out. You are loved and you are missed.
Mikey was a loyal and loving son, brother, uncle, friend and hero to many. Mikey’s family was everything to him and, him, to them. Mikey was ‘Uncle Mike’ to many of his friends’ kids.
Mikey was a mentor and never refused an offer to help someone out. You could often find him going on walks with friends and family. He carried snacks, water, socks, gloves and many other things in case he came across someone that may need them.
Mikey graduated in 2000 from Pasco High School and soon after joined the Marine Corp. He served as an 0351 Assaultman with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, India Company for 4 years including 2 deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He finished his service with the rank of Corporal along with several decorations and citations.
