Life story
Pamela Louise (Rogers) Johnson was born on May 4, 1952 to Elma Rogers and Nelson Love in Chicago, Illinois. Pam confessed her faith in the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Church in Tennessee. Pam attended St. Louis Public Schools and continued her education at Forest Park Community College. Pam worked at Laclede Gas for 38 years before retiring in 2007. In 1984, she met the love of her life, Josh Johnson, whom she married on January 5. 1990.
Pam was best known for her loving personality, radiant smile, and generous spirit. Known to all as "Granny Pam," she was the heart of her family bringing everyone together. She was never afraid to let people know that she loved and cared for them, and always offered unconditional love and support. Her family was the center of her life and meant the world to her. There was never a dull moment in her presence. She loved crafts, shopping and going to the casinos. She always had a house full of gifts and everyone knew whose house to go to when in need of a gift for any occasion.
Pam made her heavenly transition on June 30, 2022. She will forever be missed but will always remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and loved ones.
She moved like quiet sunlight through the room, Soft hands that knew both sorrow and its cure. Her laughter stitched the broken parts of me, A gentle thread that time cannot undo.
Now in the hush between each passing day, I hear her voice in things she used to say. Though she is gone where I cannot yet see, Her love remains—still living here in me.
