“And the God of all grace, who called you to this eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1Peter 5:10
Life story
Wesley's story is waiting to be told
Did you know Wesley, or are you part of the family? Share a memory, a photo, or a story passed down through the generations.
It’s hard to put into words the impact you had on so many, myself included. You shined bright in every room you were in and loved everyone so well. I’m so thankful for the many memories we had growing up together, I can still see your big smile and hear your infectious laugh. You spoke life and truth into me during all phases of life, ensuring every decision I made was for his purpose and glory. I still remember you calling one night saying you were coming to pick me up and that we were going to dinner, I don’t remember why but I remember feeling so thankful I had a friend as great as you. You served people so well and truly lived life with a servants heart. We miss you so much. I can’t wait to see you again and to get the biggest hug from you.
One last story just because it makes me laugh. Kade….you are welcome for getting you out of that college class in high school and Shawna I’m sorry I forged your signature that got him out of the class haha I love you and your entire family. I’m so thankful for friends that feel like family!
Shawna ParmellyLove you Peyt!! I’m really glad I didn’t know about the forging my signature at that time, but it makes me laugh so hard now!!! Love you!
Michelle HannaSo sweet Peyton. We’re all so blessed to have been loved by Kade!

Kady
It is truly so hard for me to explain how much I miss Kade (Kady) that's what I called him! He called us Shane Shane and Stevo I can still hear his big voice! I can never thank you enough for the friendship we have with your sweet mom and dad! It is because of your friendship with Peyt that brought us all together when you all were little kids! Kady you touched so many lives and are still doing that today! I love you sweet boy!
It is so hard to imagine writing a post in Kade's honor. There is no way to encapsulate what Kade meant to everyone. When you walked in a room where Kade was you knew that you were in a safe space. He would go out of his way to make you feel comfortable and include the people that were often overlooked. I had the opportunity to travel with Kade from Jacksonville Fl up to Durham NC after his senior bowl game. While I was spending a couple of days with him in Durham, he showed me around the town and took me through Duke's campus. The thing that stands out most to me about my time there though was a trip to the grocery store. As we are checking out Kade makes small talk with the cashier and finds out that he is a refugee and just recently moved to Durham. Kade was quick to see that this guy was also a believer and invited him to his church group to try and help him find a community in a new place. That is just who Kade was no interaction with him was too small that his heart wouldn't shine. I just hope to live more like him every day. Miss you Big Man.
Shawna ParmellyBeautiful tribute Cam. We are so thankful for the sweet friendship y’all shared. And I’m thankful for our last Fourth of July together too! Great memories- great friends 💜💜💜

Love You Kade
What a young man! I was blessed to get to know him and his incredible family. His story inspired a High School Football Team in New Mexico to overachieve and understand perspective! They still wear bracelets today in his Honor, and in His Honor! Quite a legacy! Job Well Done.

Big Kade
Wesley Kade Parmelly, Kade, Big Kade, Big Tuna, Double Donuts, Donuts, Big Kahuna, Kader, ChickenParm, or a nickname you earned on a mission trip in an unknown dialect that roughly translated to Very Large Human, or whatever name you can think of for him, it is hard to say them without a smile. It is impossible to sum up my memories of you and the times we spent together. I miss you dearly. I loved you like you were my own.
In the fall of 2008, on a Friday afternoon, our garage door flung open and several boys came running in, all dressed in their purple and gold. We were all about to head on a road trip to watch the Wylie Bulldogs play. I didn’t recognize one of the boys and when I asked what his name was, another boy shouted, “That’s Big Kade.”
Kade was physically larger than the other boys so I didn’t give much thought to the nickname “Big Kade.” Over the next 15 years I would have the privilege of learning how truly appropriate this name was for him.
Kade’s love for Jesus was BIG. He showed that time and time again through his actions and deeds. He wasn’t afraid to share his BIG faith.
Kade’s determination was BIG. More than once in his short life, he was faced with enormous challenges that he faced head on.
Kade’s love for his family was BIG. He cherished time with them.
Kade’s heart for his friends was BIG. He had a way of making everyone he spoke to feel special, loved and important.
Kade’s laugh was BIG and could fill a room.
Kade’s hugs were BIG. I miss those.
Kade’s impact on earth was BIG and will continue to live on through his family, friends and all those who loved him.
Love Big like Kade…words to live by.
Michelle HannaOh Randa- I love this so much! “Love BIG like Kade” are definitely words to live by!

Kade’s 25th birthday (9/22/2023)
I wanted to post something profound today on Kade’s birthday. But honestly it just sucks that he’s not here with us. I hope he knew how very much he was loved. This will always be one of my favorite pictures of him. He was a proud Texas guy at Duke- and he was going to be sure everyone knew it. One funny story about him, while we were sitting in church one Sunday morning, Shawna got a text from Kade with a picture saying “we may be on the news!” Kade and a coworker were in Boston for a conference. There happened to be a crawfish bar crawl they ended up in. They were both wearing their cowboy hats. Two BIG guys in cowboy hats from TEXAS did not go unnoticed. Kade said they felt like celebrities! Kade basically was a celebrity. You couldn’t go anywhere with him that he didn’t know somebody and make time to talk to them. I miss his BIG hugs. I miss his BIG smile and I miss his BIG heart. I hope he’s celebrating his 25th birthday in a big way in heaven. It just so happens we’re in Boston for the weekend and today we’re celebrating him. I love you BIG Kade! 💙
