Craig Emerson Adams passed away the evening of July 4th, 2022. He was struck by a car while enjoying a bike ride with a lifelong friend.

Craig graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1964. After training at Utah State University, he worked in aircraft maintenance at Hill Air Force Base for 35 years.

Craig loved sporting activities. He was a lifelong golfer, softball player, biker, skier, hunter, fisherman and an avid fan of the World Series and Olympics.

Craig was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, husband, father and grandfather. He married Kathleen McAllister on November 1st, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they raised their three wonderful daughters, Shae, Natasha and Andrea. He taught his children to work hard, to be kind and to never buy a car that wasnt white. Craig was an extraordinarily involved grandpa who never missed a game, recital or an opportunity to support a family member, no matter how incidental. Every grandchild felt like they were his favorite grandchild and of course, they were.

Craig also had a remarkable talent for making and keeping friends. He never missed a chance to lend a hand or to make someone feel loved. Beyond his family, Craigs greatest treasures were his neighbors, church members and dear friends.

Craig was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, including Bishop, High Councilor and temple ordinance worker. He and Kathy also served a mission together in Cape Verde, West Africa. Language barriers and culture shock were no match for Craig he dearly loved the people of Cape Verde, and the memories and experiences he had while serving there grew fonder each year.

Craig was known throughout the neighborhood for the care he took with his well-manicured lawn and lush flower beds. He had a keen eye for detail and held himself to an exacting standard in all that he did. He was handy and creative, and loved sharing his talents whenever he could. He was loved for his competitive spirit victory in a card game or a friendly bet was always sweeter for knowing that Craig never let anyone win.

Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Wilma Adams, his sister Coy Oliver, and his in-laws Melvin and Maxine McAllister. He is survived by his wife Kathy and the families of their three daughters: Shae and Mark Oligschlaeger and their children Emerson, Abby (Drew Wilson), Adam and Elder Drew Oligschlaeger; Natasha and Jenness Eldridge and their children Paige (Spencer Balling), Cameron and Ashley; and Andrea and Geoff Radford and their children Luke, JD, Chase and Ty.

Craigs family is grateful for the outpouring of love and kindness they have received from all after Craigs sudden passing. His viewing will be held at Leavitts Mortuary (836 36th Street, Ogden) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 15th. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16th at the Pleasant Valley 5th Ward chapel (5735 Crestwood Drive, South Ogden), with a viewing at 11:30 AM followed by the funeral program at 1:00 PM. He will be buried in the Ogden City Cemetery.
