Life story

Anthony Gaglione Jr., a cherished family man, dedicated electrician, and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on June 6, 1933, Anthony’s life was marked by his loving nature, kindness, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life.

Anthony is survived by his devoted children Duane (Debra) Gaglione, Darrell Gaglione, and Daniel (Geraldine) Gaglione. He was a beacon of love and guidance for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of warmth and generosity. Anthony was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley, parents, Anthony Gaglione Sr. and Josephine Gaglione (Wichman), his son Donald Gaglione, and his siblings Phillip (Doris) Gaglione, Josephine (Joe) Griger, Franklin Gaglione, Marion (Gordon) Krygiel, Plarenzia Henry, Rose (Jack) Gress, Leonard Gaglione, and Thomas Gaglione. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of his family, relatives, and friends who knew him as a pillar of strength and love.

Anthony’s professional life was as remarkable as his personal one. He honorably served in the US Army, a role that showcased his meticulous skill and unwavering work ethic. Following his military service, he continued to illuminate the lives of others through his work with Magaw Electric company and the Milwaukee County, for 45 years, where he was instrumental in maintaining the electrical systems that kept the community’s spaces vibrant and welcoming. Among his notable contributions was being part of the crew that replaced the billboard for the Milwaukee County Stadium, now known as American Family Field, a testament to his commitment to his city.

Baseball held a special place in Anthony’s heart, a passion that mirrored the teamwork and dedication he exemplified in his life. He loved the holidays, from Christmas to Easter, embracing each celebration with open arms and an infectious enthusiasm that brought joy to those around him. Anthony’s hobbies included playing bingo, where his presence was always a delight, and scouring rummage sales with his beloved wife, finding treasures and making memories along the way.

An avid outdoorsman, Anthony found solace and happiness in fishing, surrounded by nature’s beauty. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his love for his family, whom he cherished above all else. His kind and loving nature made every encounter with him a gift, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Anthony Gaglione Jr.’s life was a tapestry woven with love, service, and the joy of everyday moments. He will be remembered not only for the life he led but for the countless lives he touched with his kindness. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide us, just as the lights he maintained so diligently guided many through the darkness.

As we honor Anthony’s memory, we reflect on a life well-lived, a life that exemplified the best of us. His story is one of love, commitment, and the enduring power of family and community. Anthony Gaglione Jr. will be deeply missed, but his light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him
