Sandra Kay Blane
Sandra Blane was best known as Sandy by all those who loved her. Born on February 14, 1956 to Jim and Margaret Blane, she brought love and light to anyone she met from an early age. Sandy spent her working years as the Administrative Assistant at the Regional Office for Logan, Mason, and Menard counties. At work and at home, Sandy was generous and caring, donating her time and money to those in need.
In her spare time, she could be found at any sports event held at Lincoln High School with a camera in her hand and a cheer on her face for those she photographed. She also brought this passion for photography to family events and captured many heartfelt moments with her parents, brother, sister-in-law, nieces, and great nephew, as well as "paw"fect opportunities with the family pets, especially her beloved dog Rufus. Along with time spent with family, she dedicated herself to may organizations and committees, including the First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln where she worked with the youth and sang in the choir.
Sandy dedicated her life to bringing smiles to others faces and instill joy into the lives around her. She asked that we make her final resting place a bench so those who may come to visit would be able to sit and chat, sending her the smiles and joy from the other side.
