James and Margaret Blane (Rademaker)
Margaret Ann Rademaker was born in Lincoln IL on July 17, 1931 as the 7th child to Ullie and Tena Rademaker. Graduating from Mason City High School in 1949, she worked for Dr. Deane Hauter in San Jose, followed by working for Abraham Lincoln Medical Group as a medical technician. After retirement, Margaret spent her free time creating crafts by hand from crochet to recipes, taking camping trips with her husband and grandchildren, keeping up with college basketball, and cultivating gorgeous plants in her yard and home. Upon her passing on December 27, 2019, Margaret continued her passion for healthcare by donating her body to science.
James Ronald Blane was born in Peoria, IL on October 28, 1928 as the 5th of 8 children to Elvia and Marie Blane. Jim graduated from Mason City High School in 1946 and began his entrance into the work field by working with automobiles in a lot of different capacities. Alongside those jobs, he also worked for Hanson Dairy and USPS. In February 1951, Jim joined the US Army and was based in Germany until his Honorable Discharge in January 1956. Jim was as busy before retirement as he was after, continuing to volunteer in town on the fire department, becoming a member of the American Legion, woodworking and building incredible yard displays, camping with his wife, and spending as much time in the sun as he could. Jim passed away on November 1, 2020.
In 1954, James and Margaret were united in marriage and gave birth to two beautiful children, Sandra and Jeffery. They were then gifted with a daughter-in-law, Diana Lynn, in 1982 followed by two grandchildren, Brianne in 1984 and Danielle in 1990. In 2009, they were blessed with their first great-grandchild, Paxton Cozart. Both Jim and Margaret spent their life dedicated to spending all the time they could with their family, hosting many parties and meals to bring everyone together.
