Life story

Tony Brandt, cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, ended his life on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the Tony Brandt Memorial Fund has been established at Hills Bank and Trust to support local mental health organizations.

Tony is survived by his parents, John and Debbie and his siblings, Amanda, Danny (Jaime), Abbie (Mitchell Shellady), and Shawn; niece and nephews, Brandt, Beckett, Kyler, Madden, and Meyer; grandparents, Patricia Brandt and Marilyn and Harold Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tim Brandt (Papa Tim).

His light will continue to shine bright in the days, months, and years ahead. We will miss him everyday and pray that he is at peace. We ask you to take a moment to hug your loved ones and tell those around you how much you love them. Take the extra minute because time waits for no one.

“The way a man’s life ends does not tell the story of the life he lived.”

Volleyball

Tony always made us laugh whether on the court or off the court. He never failed to remind us to live in the moment but also be competitive. We could’ve been loosing by 10 and he’d still have some sass and probably make us laugh. There is so many more memories I could share and continue to share but he continues to shine a moment in my life and I continue to find moments to smile about him. Volleyball continues to be a special momentum in my life and Tony’s memories are what continue to bring me joy to playing the game because I know he’d want me to continue to play for him.
