In loving memory of
Miguel Angel Prado
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear." -Anonymous
Miguel A. Prado, born on April 21, 2000, in Compton, California, was the youngest of five siblings.
Growing up in Compton, Miguel's early years were marked by a spirit of resilience and determination. School was a challenge for him, and he often struggled with his studies. However, as he grew older, he recognized the importance of education and expressed regret for not being more diligent during his school years. Despite these academic struggles, Miguel's tenacity and work ethic shone brightly in other areas of his life.
From a young age, Miguel demonstrated a strong drive to support himself and contribute to his family. He worked at his brother-in-law’s shop and took on various jobs, including car washing, to earn money. His willingness to hustle and work hard was a testament to his character and dedication. Miguel's industrious nature spoke volumes about the kind of person he was – one who never let setbacks define him and always strove to better himself and his situation.
Tragically, it was in the very place where he often worked so diligently that Miguel's life was taken from us on August 18, 2023. This loss was a devastating blow to his family and friends, who remember him as a hardworking and loving individual with a bright future ahead of him.
Recently, Miguel had been particularly excited about a new job he had secured. He had worked tirelessly to land a position as a security guard at a new VA apartment building in Los Angeles. Miguel looked forward to this opportunity with great enthusiasm, eager to make a difference and support veterans through his work. His commitment to this new role underscored his persistent effort to improve his life and help others.
Miguel is survived by his loving parents, Maria and Jose, and his siblings, Armando, Javier, Jose, and Karina. His legacy also lives on in his nieces, nephews, and extended family, including his aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Avelina and Manuel Sanchez, who now rest above his niche, offering a sense of familial continuity and peace.
Miguel Prado's life though cut tragically short, was marked by an enduring spirit of perseverance and love. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to inspire and resonate with those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
