Oh, how we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again.
Life story

Natasha, or Tasha as everyone knew her, was the kind of person who could light up a room just by walking into it. Born in Denver, Colorado, she made her way to Bird City, Kansas at the age of 12, where she quickly made a name for herself. Not just for her quick wit as sass, but for her big heart and unforgettable laugh.

She attended Cheylin schools where she cheered on her classmates as a cheerleader and did her very best on the volleyball court, basketball court, and track field. She was full of energy, always moving, always laughing, and always surrounded by friends...many of whom remained close to her for the rest of her life. She was also involved in Youth Group where her faith and sense of community grew alongside her spunky personality.

Tasha had two beautiful sons, Raiden and Cooper, who were the absolute center of her universe. Her love for them was fierce and endless, and being their mom was her proudest role and achievement. Family was everything to her. She had a special relationship with her mom, DeAnza Ambrosier, who became one her best friends in life. She proudly considered her stepdad, Shannon, her true Dad. She maintained a super close bond with her brother, Brandon and her sister, Christa. She loved holiday gatherings with her Grandma Peggy Horinek, her Uncle Chris and Aunt Niecy (Chris and Denise Bassett), her Uncle Davey and Aunt Connie (Pattison), her Aunt Susan, and all her cousins who were more like siblings.

Professionally, Tasha found her calling in the medical field. She became a CNA but truly came alive as an Activity Director at a skilled nursing facility. That job was tailor-made for her. She was able to care for others, plan parties, sing, dance, play games, and spread joy every single day. Residents and co-workers alike adored her. She brought laughter, comfort, and a spark of something special wherever she went.

Tasha was animated and expressive, a natural storyteller who could have a room in stiches or tears, sometimes both in the same story. She was strong and resilient, with a fire in her soul. And when she loved, she loved all the way. With loyalty, depth, and fierce protectiveness.

On Super Bowl Sunday, February 7th, 2016, Tasha was driving home to Norton with her boys after spending the weekend in Bird City. In the drifting snow, a semi's trailer lost control and slid into her lane. The trailer struck the driver's side, killing Tasha instantly. Because of her loving and careful nature, she had properly secured both of her sons in their car seats, and by the grace of God, they both survived with only minor injuries. Even in her final moments, her love protected them.

Tasha left behind a legacy of laughter, strength, compassion, and an unshakable love for her children. She left a mark on this world that will never fade.

Never forgotten

You were the main character in my life! The hole remaining after you left can never, ever be filled. I strive to look after your boys, making sure they are happy, healthy, and find joy in their life. I hope you're able to see us and rest, knowing you will NEVER be forgotten. Love NEVER dies. And I'll love and miss you until I can see you again! And then, "Oh, how we shall laugh at the trouble of parting..." Love always, Mom.
