Michael or Michael

One thing that my dad said to me that I’ll never forget is “when we adopted you, I was hoping that you’d turn out more like Michael Jordan but instead, you turned out more like Michael Bublé.” Although my dad was very much into all sorts of sports and I was the least athletic person around, he was one of my biggest supporters. Whether I was attempting to play sports in school or playing in concert band, my dad was always there to cheer me on from the sidelines. Looking back, I’m reminded of what it means to care about others, even if it means cheering someone on when they’re doing things you know little about. My dad said many things that I’ll never forget, but this was one of those things that always makes me laugh when I look back at that moment.
