Our Scotty Boy

Scotty Boy, so other day, where I’m saying to myself on, repeat that you should be here. I went to go pick Lucki Ducki’s cake for his party today. Yes a cake. It’s a tennis ball FILLED with treats. Naturally, the woman of the bakery knows who I am because my dogs are equally as spoiled as he is. She didn’t recognize the name and of course she asked. And just like that all over again. I have to relive this nightmare we’re living. She was so moved, and instantly fell in love with your sweet boy. Said that he has the most angel eyes she has ever seen. She has seen thousands of dogs because she owns the best bakery in Rhode Island. I told her about our plans for the new breadwinner of Sharpe Street to be Ducki. She said that she will help in anyway she can. It could promote both of us and get business on both ends. You should be doing this. You should be here. I know that we will do it all for you. All for Lucki. As much as all of this hurts. So fucking bad. Seeing everyone walk around so broken since you left. We’re doing it. We’re doing it for you. We’re doing it to tell your story. Because everyone deserves to know Scotty. And they will. Promise me you’ll take care of My Raider up there. Raider can’t date till he’s 18! I know My Dad is catching you up on all the latest. I love you so much pal. 224.

Lynn HellmanYour cousin would be so thankful of the love and support you have given to Lucki. Scott was always watchful of his treats and this dog healthy cake would be Scotty approved. Our greatest wish is that our loved ones are together in paradise and that we will all be together one day. Until then we can cherish the moments together celebrating Lucki and making new memories . 💚🐾

A tribute to my beloved son Scott

How can I create a tribute to do justice to a person I love and treasure so much. A person that is my only son and is no longer here with us . Scott I will speak directly to you, as my heartfelt hope is that you know how much you are truly loved and missed. Your beautiful soul was so wanted since you were growing in the womb. Your story starts there . Your gift of showing love was evident from the start of your life. You were a people person. You were good at all things. You easily moved from one milestone to the next. You made friends easily. You were exceptionally smart and so funny. You attracted people . In kindergarten your amazing teacher told me that when you were absent from school the other kids would pick “A Scott”. You showed leadership skills at age 5. You began your athletic life with first karate then it was time for team sports. Starting with baseball. You loved sports from day one. Your Dad coached you and had the time of his life . I was your biggest fan. We never missed a practice or a game. Maybe I cheered too loudly. Sorry about that. You were a pitcher, catcher and a shortstop. You were always selected for all stars and competed with skill and sportsmanship. You also made some of your very best lifelong friendships on those fields. You played soccer also during elementary school. You were always a strong player. Your coaches told us of your gifts on the field. You played soccer well and had fun. Basketball became your passion. It was beautiful to watch you play. You had a nasty three point shot. You were a team leader. Such a natural on the court. So many friends made. Team captain at Warwick Vets. You enjoyed playing on The Tar Heels. Traveling and playing in so many tournaments. You loved playing youth hoop at the Boys and Girls club in Oakland Beach. You played for St. Kevin’s too. You always wanted to be early. Never missed a practice or game. Never lost the passion and drive you had for the game you loved. Football came into your life with Warwick Pal. You loved playing on the Patriots. You played well and we were as always proud and excited to see you play. You loved playing for Warwick Vets HS and gave it your all as always. And as always more friendships made. I would never forget to mention skating . You were a talented rollerblader. You like aggressive skating. You spent as much time as possible with your friends and practiced endlessly. You again were amazing to watch. More solid amazing friendships made. Your school and community life seemed full of fun and adventure. Always with your friends and getting to know everyone. Stories have been shared about crazy times and also your kind and helpful spirit. Your family loves you immeasurably. You were the glue, the joker the debater, the smarty pants, the fun , the helper, the advice giver, the shenanigans partner. Your sisters, cousins, brother in law, nieces, nephews, uncles , grandparents and especially your mom and dad , we are lost without you. Your friends have stepped up. They proudly carry on your legacy through words and actions. They are fiercely loyal and dedicated to you. You knew how special they are Scott . You created these relationships. School came easily. Always so smart. You never had to study for multiplication tables or spelling. You completed projects the night before. You had the answers. You were interesting to listen to. You loved learning about things. You were driven to do well at the things you did. Tests were not difficult for you. Your work life was an area you cared about a great deal. You were driven and had lots of dreams. You wanted to create an app and worked tirelessly on it . You started your business and had lots of success. You did good work and tried hard. You did well in the field of construction also. You enjoyed the work and wanted to continue to grow in the field. People enjoyed working with you. Again, you were such a hard worker. Dedicated. Before I finish this tribute which could be ongoing forever, I will mention your pets. You were an animal lover and they loved you. Your relationships with your family pets was so loving and strong. Your own dog Lucki and you shared a bond so strong. He is being so lovingly cared for by your brother/cousin and his caring wife as you would have wanted. Lucki is very loved by all your family and friends. He is doing amazing. Your awesome dog. We will continue to share your story. Your acts of kindness that were so natural to you we will continue in your honor. Your story is not over. Your nieces and nephews will know. Let it be forever known that I loved being your mom. I am still your mom. As long as I live I will share my stories of you and my complete love and pride for having been Scott Joseph Camara’s mom. I love you and it is my greatest desire that we will be together again. Please keep us strong with signs you are near. We need them because we still need you. My beautiful boy I love you. Love always , Mom
