Life story

Jeffrey Stanton Healey was born to Harry and Ann Rosenberger Healey. He was the fifth of seven children in a large Irish, Catholic family. Jeff was known for his impressive intellect and pristine taste. He studied business at Northeastern University.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Edward (Ted) Higginson IV. Together they worked at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. In their free time, they got into many adventures and as a couple, created a full life centered around love, authenticity and fun. They loved to ski.

Though Jeff’s life was cut too short, he leaves behind a lasting legacy in those he loved including Ted, his mother Ann and siblings Peter (Liz), Bob (Beth), Bill (Mary), Martha (Allison) and Chip (Sandi). He was followed in death by his nephew, Matt and his father, Harry.

Of his legacy, he would be especially proud that Ted continues to be an integral and loved member of our family. And he would be touched that a whole generation of his nieces and nephews- many of whom he never had the opportunity to meet- walk in the world with greater courage, authenticity and the willingness to question the status quo because of the way he lived.

He is certainly missed. We take solace knowing that when our turns come he will be waiting for us with a cigarette in hand and a healthy dose of wit to volley.
