Until we meet again.

I was always my dads, “papa’s little girl or gsnap, gmoney, squirt, tiffy”. my dad was the joy once he walked in the room, he had a brain packed full of encouragement, he had a heart of gold, he saw the good in everyone, and if you talked to him you ended up becoming his favorite person and best friend. My brother gained the heart of gold from him, my sister gained his ability to see the good in everyone, and he passed along to me how to always stay full of encouragement by using Gods word. All three of us have been taught by him to always be full of integrity, hard work with a smile and understanding with a soft heart. You don’t come across a man like my dad often, he had faith in God that no one could move and I know the ones that were close to him will miss him dearly. I know I do missing the, “tiffs up” after working all night and he plays his read out loud Bible, while working or cooking in the kitchen. I love you dad I’ll miss your “singing way too early in the mornings and silly entertaining life stories… Poem to remember. ”Beyond the smiling and the weeping, Beyond the sowing and the reaping, Beyond the the blooming and the fading, Beyond the shining and the shading, Beyond the hoping and the dreading, Beyond the calming and the fretting, Beyond the remembering and the forgetting, Beyond this farewell and to the new coming greeting.

A Poem for my Dad

You were my first role model to what a man should be, and I am your first child, who made you a father-n-law, PawPaw, and a Dad, most importantly. From my very first breath to your very last, so many good times and memories gone way too fast. You always had a big smile on your face, food on the grill, and open arms to all, I want to share a few memories that I can recall. I will remember the old movies you asked us to watch, ben-hur, sparticus, and the10 commandments 1957 Charlton Heston version, and I cannot forget to mention the cologne lingering in the air, for hours because you'd put on enough for a second person. I could talk for hours about each different story, but I won't ... even though, I get that from you ... noone has to worry. I thought we would have way more time, but I am thankful for all we had. I will always love you, because you are ... my Dad. Although you are not physically here, you will never be forgotten, and we all know Grammy will spoil all of the gkids rotten. ~Missy
