Brenda A Gallagher Vischansky
Brenda was born in Pittston on January 12, 1972, the daughter of the late James and Sara Maryann Gallagher. From the start, she was a shining light in her family. A woman whose presence could fill any room, whose love was boundless, and whose legacy will continue to touch us all.
Her career as a customer service manager at Keystone Auto was more than just a job. For over 18 years, Brenda poured her heart into her work, creating relationships that went far beyond the professional. She met her best friend, Dana, there and cherished her team like family. Her kindness and generosity made her not just a manager but a mentor, a confidant, and a friend to many.
Brenda’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. Her shoe collection—over 275 pairs—was legendary. She had an uncanny ability to never wear the same pair within a two-week period, a small but meaningful reflection of her unique flair and attention to detail. Sundays were sacred in Brenda’s world, spent playing cornhole, bowling, and making memories with her family. Her heart found its happy place in San Diego, California, a place she dreamed of retiring to one day.
Brenda’s greatest pride, however, was her family. She was a devoted wife to William, her husband of 10 years, and a loving mother to Kayla, TJ, and Matthew. Her grandchildren—Briella, Taylor, Audriana, Aedan, Madison, and Declan—were her joy, and she doted on them endlessly. Her love extended to her siblings, Diane and Michael, her nieces and nephews, and even her granddogs, Dunkan, Dallas, and Stell. She was also blessed with the unwavering support of her stepsister, Janine, and her sidekick, Mariah, who walked alongside her throughout her courageous battle with cancer.
Brenda faced life’s challenges, including the loss of her brother Joseph and her cancer diagnosis, with a strength that inspired everyone around her. She never let these hardships dim her spirit or her love for those she held dear.
To know Brenda was to know a woman of warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication. She made an impact on everyone she met, whether through a kind word, a hearty laugh, or a shared moment that would linger in your memory long after.
Let us remember her not in sorrow but in gratitude. Gratitude for the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the joy she brought to our lives. Let us honor her by carrying her kindness, her humor, and her love forward, ensuring that her spirit remains alive in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Brenda. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will live on in the countless lives you touched.
