Jessie Michael Richard
Jessie was a great dad, He loved Adlie Grace and she was his entire world. He never missed a band concert or cow show. He gave his little girl whatever she wanted, and trust me, she wants allot! He worked for both Calcasieu and Cameron Parish Sheriff's offices as a corrections officer for 20 years. He was a simple man, who loved watching football and wrestling. He was an unwavering Pittsburgh Steelers fan but he loved his Saints too. He was easy to get along with, so easy in fact, that we remained great friends, even after our divorce. He was the best father to our daughter and I couldn't have asked for a better co-parent. Jessie still called to tell me about all of the things happening in his life. As it should be. Shortly before his passing, he got a Boxer puppy that he named "Rocky". He was so proud of that puppy. He was going to have him trained as a service dog. You see, Jessie had epilepsy. It's what took him from this life. His little service dog fulfilled his duty, as he was right there by Jessie's side as he walked through those Gates of Heaven to be greeted by his dad.
