Alexis Rose Laible was born on September 9, 2010 in Sioux City, IA to Dustin and Lori (Nordby) Laible. She attended O’Neill Public Schools, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends and cheering on her siblings.
Alexis liked to talk – non-stop it seemed. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, movie night with her family and she loved a good dance party. Alexis appreciated every minute of being in nature - enjoying camping, riding her bike, and swimming in the pool.
Spending time with family was important to Alexis. She was the life of the party of the cousin crew. Alexis could oftentimes be found playing for hours with any and all animals she could get her hands on.
Alexis is survived by her parents, Dustin and Lori Laible; siblings, Kiley, Gus, and Reid Laible, all of Emmet, NE; grandparents, Steve (Marti) Nordby of Coleridge, NE, Tom (Bonnie) Steinhauser of Creighton, NE, and Ron (Joyce) Laible of Shelby, NE; great grandmother, Punk Steinhauser of Stuart, NE; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Rosie Happy Angelversary on July 19th.
When we think of our Rosie -"Life of the Party" and CARING come to mind. She could light up a room with her smile and "that laugh" was contagious. She was always up to something with the Cousins. Tea parties where she would giggle and spill- put her sucker in water or pop. We had to go along with wearing hats for the occasion. Jumping bales, playhouse dinners, and making up their own fun. Who could forget George in the green house that you had younger cousins believe in. When you got your first karaoke machine you brought it to summer Christmas to entertain us all. You and Had had that special cousin bond. You were tomboys with your farm caps and boots. You kept up with the " Boys"
You were always aware of others and their feelings. If someone was sitting alone at a family gathering you would sit by them and smile. You make others feel special that were new to a group and include them in activities. What a BIG HEART you had to spread your Love to others. You made every moment of your life on earth count.
We miss you SO much but know you are definitely busy and laughing where you are.
We are not electronic savvy so no pictures with this note. Know we enjoyed our Face times we had and always ended with Toot a Lou. Will try to get this sent to the site on Grandpa's scotch taped phone - you would giggle at that.
Love U always and miss you. Keep sending signs if you can.

Well that girl definitely loves family time. If it's not family movie night, it's family game night, a family pool party, a family bike ride, or something of the sort. She could literally chat your ear off. When I would pick her up from school she would chatter a 100 mph and I would always tell her just wait until we get out of the parking lot so I don't get distracted and hit someone. Then it would be the whole way home. At the dinner table she would always ask everyone about and how their day was. She couldn't wait to get to me because I would always give her some million dollar word and then she would laugh. I'm surprised I never got a bunch of phone calls from school saying she was talking to much and disrupting class. If there ever was a moment of silence she would blurt out "it's too quiet". That girl was definitely a "chatty Kathy"
One thing I always admired about Alexis is that she was a great cheerleader for so many. One of her favorite sayings was “You Got This!” You could hear her yelling this as a friend was back at the line serving a volleyball, or a teammate was shooting a free throw or up to bat. She was the girl that always had a pat on the back for a teammate or a hug if they had an off game. She was always there to watch and cheer on her siblings, friends and cousins at their games, meets or races. She always had a high five for me if I was running or walking. I know she is still cheering for all of us from heaven with a “You Got This!”
