Martha Sandoval Jauregui
“I love you to the moon and back”,
Martha Sandoval Jauregui, age 62, loving mother of four, and adoring wife to husband Rodrigo Ruano Jauregui, passed away in the late hours of Monday, June 24th, 2024, after complications from cerebral edema (stroke) resulting in cardiac arrest. Martha passed peacefully at Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, California surrounded by her immediate family.
Martha was born in 1962 in Las Animas, Nochistlan de Mejia, Zacatecas, Mexico and grew up surrounded by her large family. She had seven siblings and a lot of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Martha lived in Las Animas, Tijuana, San Jose and lastly in Ceres, California. Martha was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood. She met her husband Rigo in 1978 in San Jose, California and they fell in love instantly (San Jose High School sweethearts) and knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their own. As a mother she was generous, loving and kind. She put her children before anything and anyone, including herself. Martha became a grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren and her generosity, love and kindness extended to them. Martha recently found out she was going to be a grandmother again to a beautiful baby girl. She was absolutely thrilled about her family growing even bigger.
In her free time, Martha loved to be with her family. She loved watching movies with her husband, staying up late talking to all her children, taking her daughter on lunch dates and spending time with all her grandchildren. Martha loved taking weekend trips with her husband to places like Monterey, Reno, Sacramento, or the nearby casino. Most recently, she spent her birthday weekend with her husband at a casino and had the time of her life. On Father’s Day all her children gathered at the Jauregui home to spend time with her and their father, this was a normal occurrence. Little did they know it would be her last.
Martha is survived by her husband, four children, Son-in-law Jesus Patino, Daughter-in-laws Ludeidy, Diana, and Esmeralda Jauregui, eight grandchildren: Aaliyah, Keidis, Aaralyn, Aabryel, Deklan, Landen, Marcelo, and coming this fall a baby girl, Sophia, – parents Alejandro (Martha’s favorite) and Esmeralda Jauregui, and six living siblings: Maria de la Luz, Leticia, Martin, Armando, Victor and Juan Sandoval.
Martha will be greatly missed by her family and especially her husband Rigo and their four children: Ricardo, Ruben, Alejandro, and Amanda who adore her with all of their hearts.
We know that we cannot have you, but we are happy knowing the angels have finally got you back and are taking you to rest with Abuelito Victoriano and Abuelito Natalia, your loving parents.
Farewell to a wonderful woman and a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. We love you to the moon and back.
Martha Sandoval Jauregui
