Joan J Jensen

Joan was born in Chicago in 1934 to Norman Johnson and Josephine (Christianson). She was the youngest of 3. Older brother Arnold and sister Alice.
She spent her youth hanging around the local park with her friends. She graduated from Kelvin Park HS around 1947. She married Alfred Jensen in 1952. The moved to Pittsburg and eventually had one son, Scott, born in 1965.
Joan and Scott moved back to Glen Ellen around 1970 and Iived with her brother Arnold and sister in law Betty. From there she worked at Forest View HS and eventually earn her masters degree from NIU.
She bought her first house in Glen Ellyn that she and Scott lived in from 1971 to 1976. They moved to Rolling Meadows in 1975 were she worked at Rolling Meadows HS from the day it opened till her retirement in 1990.
After retirement she lived with her sister, Alice until her death. They moved from Rolling Meadows to Schaumburg. She loved to travel and dote over her 4 grandchildren.
