Mitchel Raymond Hiltner
Mitchel entered this world on April 30,1993. He was a few weeks early and was eager to make his entrance into the world sooner then expected. At 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. This little strawberry blond boy was born. His older bother Curtis was so excited to have a baby brother and they quickly became best friends. At the age of 5 he found out HE was going to be a big brother. The little sister Lexie was on her way..he immediately took the role on of her protector and adored that little girl so much.
Mitch was a typical second child . Always on the go and full of adventure. The moment he started getting out of his crib before his 2nd birthday we knew it was going to be non-stop. That is exactly how he lived his life. He had a few stitches, and a few hospital stays as a youngster..A few broken bones as a pre-teen and a pretty serious bike accident when he was about 15 .. that didn’t seem to stop him from living life. He loved animals as a young child He did some hunting and fishing and also Completed a summer camp around age 13 received his rifle training and certificate, but as he grew older he learned the love of animals and pets outweighed wanting to kill them.
As a teen He enjoyed 4 wheeling , water craft and did a little BMX racing for a short while, but Snowmobiling was his true love. He was gifted his grandpas Polaris around 14 …which he became quickly proud of. He enjoyed football from 6th -9th grade. Again, he liked the contact roughness of the sport. Baseball was too slow for him.
At the age of 10 tragically he lost his father. The Greif of that loss over took Mitchel and as an adult a few bad decisions and addiction has now entered his life . He tried his hardest to fight his demons. More then once he found himself in some trouble and more then once got his life in order. He rescued a little pup and named him Rocky. Everywhere Mitch was so was he. Mitchel worked along side with his uncles doing carpentry , and was very proud of his achievements the hard work and the things he learned on the job.
On august 26/27 2018 his life, and all of ours would never be the same. All though all the details are still unclear this what I understand happened. Mitchel was in a medical crisis. His friend thought he was having an asthma attack (which he did suffer from) she called for help. When the police arrived he was struggling to breath and possibly had a small seizure. As they were trying to get Mitch to a safer place in the house a struggle happened and Mitch was tased twice. He then went into a cardiac arrest. The police administered Narcan as they believed it was an OD. ( that was never proven) The EMT got his heart beating again but 14 minutes with out oxygen was too long and the damage was done. We could have prolonged his life with extreme care that most people with little brain activity have… or let him be free . He was surrounded by love and family for 14 days and nights and passed away peacefully on September 9-2018 at the same hospital he was born at. He will forever be missed and in our hearts and obviously there is not a day that goes by I don’t think of him and miss him. My heart will never be whole again.
All my love forever your mom.
