This profile is a heartfelt tribute to Ryan Bullimore, a beloved son, brother, partner, cousin and friend. It aims to capture the essence of his life, his love for the outdoors, his infectious laughter, his humour, unforgettable smile, and the passion he poured into his mountain biking endeavors.
Though his life was tragically cut short, his spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved him
Ryan, bless his crash-prone soul, was a legend in his own right. Remember that time on the Brecon Waterfall Trail? Kid thought he was Tarzan, tried to pull on a branch, and ended up with a face full of tree.
Speaking of wipeouts, mountain biking was his jam – or at least, crashing on a mountain bike was. At a Pearce race event, he crashed right in front of his sister. Her genius question? "What are you doing down there?" His response, dripping with frustration: "I've already fallen off twice!" He was just getting warmed up. Apparently, keeping the rubber side down was a skill he and his older brother were still working on. (Spoiler alert: they never quite nailed it.)
Then, of course, there was the time the race got stopped for a "serious crash," and his sister, with the psychic abilities only siblings possess, casually says, "Bet that's my brother". Lo and behold, minutes later, his bike comes rolling down the trail with a random dude, followed by Ryan on a stretcher. Predictable? Absolutely. If you knew Ryan, you knew gravity had a personal vendetta against him.
He was a legend and champion of "How many times can I fall off my bike in one race?". Until his friend Greeny came along and would always win that competition.
While we can't help but smile at the memories of his often hilarious mishaps, we also remember the bright, passionate soul that he was.
As a boy he loved camping, hiking and gaming with his friends and family. Later on in life he took up running, skiing and climbing.
Ryan left an indelible mark on all who knew him. If you have any memories of Ryan that you would like to share, please share them on his profile. Let's keep his memory alive, and continue to celebrate the life of a truly unforgettable guy.
