Life story

Michael, or Mike as those closest to him knew him as, loved the Lord. He dedicated most of his adult life to serving the Lord in various ministries. Such as Youth Pastor of a few churches, drummer on a worship team, coach at the local little leagues, along with ministries he spearheaded.

Mike and Heather found out they were pregnant with their first of four children. Mike went with Heather to an ultrasound to see this baby. His heart melted he cried so hard seeing his son. This was now real for him. He was a Daddy not just a father from that moment on. He and Heather were married just before that baby was born. Later in life he heard a speaker from a pregnancy center talk to the church congregation about the importance of young parents and them having access to ultrasounds. Something flipped in his heart again and he just knew the Lord put a mission on his heart. He started a young dads ministry at the same pregnancy center. The Titus Program served young men and made a difference in them. They also became Daddy’s who now was learning how to become a Godly man with integrity. Next Mike decided he wanted to help kids at the local orphanage have a chance to play organized sports, having the same experience kids in the community have. He put a twist on it. Not only was he gonna provide jerseys, equipment, coaches, food, bounce houses, but he would also have a message from the Lord with worship and prayer. The impact Mike left on those kids are now part of His living Legacy. Mike next endeavor idea came from his childhood of watching a man carrying a cross over his shoulder down the highway near Austin. He watched this man do this ever year. So Mike decided to start another ministry where he would walk from Houston to the Capital steps in Austin by Christmas Eve carrying a cross on his back and pray over people and communities along the way.

He and Heather over the years had four beautiful children. Austin, Addie, Lynn, and Justin. He was a loving Father who encouraged his kids to be involved in community and church.

He had many extended family and friends that he loved dearly. Each one he would do anything for. Mike will always be loved and missed by these family and friends. Years later his loss is still felt daily by his wife Heather and their children.

Mike definitely left his mark on this world. He is in Heaven with his Lord and Savior. Mike may be gone but is never forgotten.
