Ronald James Beaudette
Nothings the Same
In our home town
A legend roamed
A man of kindness
With a heart that glowed
He'd light up the darkness
Restore the power
Had a spark in his eyes
He'd face any hour
Electric by trade
A hero by choice
He'd brave the storms
With a fearless voice
Helping his neighbors
Lending a hand
A volunteer firefighter
He'd always stand
Now the Hawk's called to Heaven
His spirit's taken flight
But he's still up there
Guiding us
With love through the Northern Lights
In Dreamland
The $2 bills
They just won't be the same
And the Beef Jerky
He used to make
Will never be up to taste
Nothing's the same
A husband
Of 46 years
His love was profound
Every night he'd whisper
"I love you"
Oh, what a sound
He taught us devotion
Taught us care
His love was beyond compare
Father of three, a papa to eight
He'd always protect us
Now he's at Heaven's gate
Now the Hawk's called to Heaven
His spirit's taken flight
But he's still up there
Guiding us
With love through the Northern Lights
In Dreamland
The $2 bills
They just won't be the same
And the Beef Jerky
He used to make
Will never be up to taste
Nothing's the same
He loved the animals
Feeding them all
The deer, chickadees so small
He never complained
No matter the day
He showed the way
Through it all
He had some crazy dances moves
When he'd heard Yakety Sax
But he gave us so many memories
For us to remember that
Now the Hawk's called to Heaven
His spirit's taken flight
But he's still up there
Guiding us
With love through the Northern Lights
In Dreamland
The $2 bills
They just won't be the same
And the Beef Jerky
He used to make
Will never be up to taste
Nothing's the same
The Beef Jerky
He used to make
Will never be up to taste
Nothing's the same
