Life story

Ryan Parker Chirico was a loving son and brother. Ryan attended Old Plank Christian Academy where he was a passionate basketball player who proudly wore #2, and a senior in high school. Ryan was loved by all who knew him and was a proud Christian who was not afraid to speak of his love for the lord.

If you were around Ryan you were likely laughing! He was hilarious and had the best sense of humor. He would go out of his way to make others laugh. His personality was bold and I love him for always being himself. He was passionate about everything but especially basketball and if you ever had the privilege of attending a game you’d know because you’d hear him screaming up and down the court. He loved a good bottle of cologne and often would smell like he was wearing half the bottle! He loved music…that’s usually how I’d know he was home after school or work- I’d hear him from down the road. He enjoyed working out and was hitting the gym everyday, having me buy stock in protein drinks and with that included daily flexing around the house. Gosh I miss him!

I’m mostly proud of Ryan for sharing his faith with others, he was not afraid! He put in the work to be a faithful young man to the lord and were so proud of him for that!

Ryan would give anyone anything he had if it would bring them some sort of happiness I’m not saying this because he’s my son he truly cared about others. He fed the homeless. He’d give his last dollar to anyone in need.

He never cared about money or things more about how people felt. Because of his generosity he always needed me to give him extra gas money! Our sweet boy had over 300 people show up to say goodbye to him. In his almost 19 years of life HE WAS SO LOVED!

Be the things you loved most about those who are gone ❤️

Blessing

Oh my goodness where do you start and end?? This kid was amazing and the way he chased after Jesus was truly inspiring. God definitely blessed you with a tender heart and with such a loving and caring family. Thank you for bringing me closer to Jesus than I have ever been, you always had something funny to say but you could also be so serious about your feelings. My family loves you so much and there is not a day that goes by that you are not in our hearts or minds. To truly know you for who you are was to love you for the man of God you had become! But I have the promise from Jesus that I will see you again in paradise! Thank you for always being you and having such a huge heart ♥️

He always made my family feel loved

I absolutely loved that Ryan loved my family and always made an effort to talk to Griff and I. We had some deep conversations! The last year he had come over and hung out with Gavin and Gage more and more. We have a Bible study on Fridays and Gavin invited him. Most teenagers aren’t excited about church on Friday night, but he came 3 times. He was reading a book that changed my husband’s life and when we heard he was reading it ,it made us realize we did make an impact on him. He loved Jesus and his light shined bright! I am grateful he went to Costa Rica with Gage and made memories there and then all the times he met up with Gavin to play basketball. So grateful we took him with us to Brandon Lake. I wish I had taken a pic that night. I am also grateful we got our hug at baccelorette service. We miss you Ryan! See you again in eternity kid! You have changed our life kiddo.

My ginger friend

Ryan was a great friend to me and we had a lot of the same interest especially when it comes to the nerdy field of things we both adored anime and talked about it a lot we also shared our opinions on sports and video games. Ryan, the rest of my school friends and my family are the reason why I decided to learn and now love basketball. Ryan has helped me through so much and I’m going to miss randomly texting him on instagram love poems. Ryan’s legacy will forever be in my heart brain and my right arm ifykyk. Honestly Ryan has changed me a lot I use to be a inside only play a lot of video games and never opening up when I felt pain self hatred or some form of loneliness and now I’m more open, honest about my pain and I’m getting through it. i just wish I was getting through it with him and not without him. Fly high 🔴🚀 (ps the photo is one of the love poems)

Basketball

I always miss the moments me and Ryan had playing basketball together. In my opinion he was for sure one of the most aggressive players on the court. We always had good conversations on the bench together whether we were talking about the game at the time or just anything else in general. It was always fun having him around no matter what we were doing. He will forever be missed ❤️🚀
