Raul “Raelo” Gonzalez Santos died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 29, 2024 in New Castle, Delaware at the age of 82.

Raul was born on November 27, 1941 in Yauco, Puerto Rico to Felipe Gonzalez and Valeria Santos. He married Juanita Mercado, his teenage sweetheart. They have been together for more than 61 years. They welcomed 5 children into their home. Raul is remembered by his children as a loving, caring father that would take them to Brandywine for picnics, on road trips to New Jersey to visit family, and someone who loved celebrating the holidays hosting parties for extended family and friends.

Raul is preceded in death by Valeria Santos - Mother, Felipe Gonzalez - Father, Ramonita Gonzalez- Sister, Alicia Gonzalez - Sister, Venancio Gonzalez - Brother , Luis Gonzalez - Brother , Aida Gonzalez - Daughter, Josá A Artysiewicz "Bubbie" - Grandson.

Raul is survived by Juanita Gonzalez- wife, Sarai Gonzalez - Daughter, Raul Gonzalez Jr. - Son, Aurelia Gonzalez- daughter, Eryk Gonzalez - Son, Luis Adan Feliciano - Brother, Luminada Gonzalez- Sister, 15 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren and Many nieces and nephews.
