Timmy Lee Herb
Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts
On June 15, 1989, Timmy was born at Geisinger Medical Center to Shelly Swank and Michael Herb. He graduated from Shamokin Area High School and held various construction jobs working alongside his father.
Timmy was an easygoing soul who loved music, animals, drawing, writing and was always there to help others. This showed in 1997 when he was presented with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award by the Shamokin Rotary for his acts of kindness. He passed away on July 31, 2021, in a tragic car accident on his way to assist a friend in need.
Timmy enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, basketball, skateboarding, Penn State Football, corn hole and family vacations where he experienced horseback riding, dog sledding, sky diving, swimming with dolphins and many other adventurous activities.
He loved his dogs, Daisy, Herbie, Chance and the many other animals he befriended along the way.
Timmy was meticulous with his clothes, shoes and let's not forget his hair; he would spend hours in the bathroom on that masterpiece. Heaven forbid that something got on his sneakers! As his mother, the only thing I could never understand was why this meticulousness didn't carry over to his bedroom which was usually a disaster.
People loved Timmy. He was always polite, well-mannered and respectful toward others. He was funny and would just do silly/stupid/goofy things to make people laugh.
The memories of Timmy will forever live, not only in our memories, but in our hearts, mind, body and soul.
