Lydia Marie Medina
I hope you’re dancing in the sky. 🤍
Lydia Marie Medina was a vibrant, loving soul whose presence lit up every room she entered. Known for her beautiful winged eyes, radiant smile, and unforgettable spirit, Lydia brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was a happy and hardworking, independent woman who poured her heart into everything she did. Lydia deeply valued her family, her friends, and her work family, building meaningful connections wherever she went. Above all, she cherished her most precious gift in life — her daughter, Aria, who was the center of her world and the greatest source of her pride and love. She also adored her other beloved child, her loyal dog Augie, who brought her comfort and happiness.
From a young age, Lydia’s passion for cheer and performance shaped who she was. She began in gymnastics before cheering at Highland High School and later at Bakersfield College, where her energy and dedication stood out. Lydia even choreographed the cheer team’s dance routines at Highland, sharing her creativity and spirit with others. Her love for cheer continued beyond her own years as a performer — she went on to coach at Frontier High School and proudly coached Aria, passing on not just skill, but confidence, joy, and heart.
Lydia had a natural gift for making people smile. She loved to joke, laugh, and keep the energy alive around her. Dancing was one of her greatest joys — whether it was to Michael Jackson or any good song that played, Lydia could always be found moving to the music. Her lively personality, cheerful spirit, and love for celebration made her truly the life of the party.
She was also a passionate sports fan. Lydia proudly cheered for the Los Angeles Rams and loved basketball, faithfully supporting the Los Angeles Lakers. Her favorite player was Kobe Bryant, whose dedication and spirit she deeply admired.
Lydia’s legacy is one of love, strength, joy, and unforgettable light. She will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her resilience, and the way she made people feel seen, loved, and uplifted. Her spirit lives on in the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
