In honor of a life so beautifully lived

Molly Elizabeth Calvert

September 12, 1998 – May 8, 2023
Lived 24 years
Butler County Memorial Cemetery · Butler, PA
Life story

Molly had a love for life, always trying to find the best way to live it. She constantly asked how she could pray for her loved ones and kept a prayer journal to keep them all close to her heart. Her kindness and her joy often lit up the room, especially her unforgettable laugh. Molly always took the time to let the people around her know how much they meant to her. She had a deep love for her family, fully leaning into her role as the baby. She’s the best sister, best daughter, and best aunt anyone could ask for. Molly had a lot of friends but held a special bond with each and every one of them.

Molly was a nurse at UPMC Hamot. She worked on the “butts and guts” floor and absolutely adored her coworkers. She was a fierce advocate for her patients. Most of the time, she’d ask them for life advice and about their experience in the world. She kept a note in her phone with their answers.

Molly was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2018. Typically, she had absence seizures. She died on May 8, 2023 from Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy at the age of 24. 1 in 26 people develop epilepsy and 1 in 1000 of those people will lose their life each year. Molls ❤️

Merry Christmas Molls 🎄 Here’s a throwback from Avon’s class when we decorated gingerbread houses— we were obsessed with him lol. I think of you in every act of kindness and love that I do for others. I miss you and your beautiful heart. ❤️

Merry Christmas Molls

Merry Christmas Molly! I’m thinking about matching pjs, sneaking downstairs to shake our presents, Christmas breakfast from dad, crying when our new clothes didn’t fit, and going to Guggies. I never thought I’d miss you ruining secret santa so much. We miss you today and every day.

Molls 🫶🏻

I’m sitting here with you today at the cemetery. I can feel the sunshining on my skin and the leaves are a perfect combination of yellow and red as they turn to fall. All I can think about is how much I wish you were still here. I can feel your presence, but I miss your voice, your laugh, and everything about you. Thank you for being a forever friend. I know you’re still with us. Love you always Molls.

Ms. Molly 🫶🏻

Molly was one of the first welcoming faces to me when I joined ASA, little did I know that she’d have such an impact on my life. Molly never failed to light up a room, she was so positive I was almost envious. One way Molly and I shared a connection was her daily “how can I pray for you?” There were times when I ignored it and now I wish for just one more. I wish for one more cocos visit and screaming memories on the stage and the walks home from the bars, wine nights, shopping dates, coffee dates. I wish for one more text or loved message in wine time. I wish for you back molls. Thank you for being such a loving and kind friend and I can only hope to live my life advocating for people as much as you. I love you molls, forever !!
