Life story

William “Will” Gray Wasson, 17, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died on January 1, 2009. He was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Danny Wasson and Carolyn Fagan (Adams). Will loved to spend time on the lake fishing with his dad, hanging out with his friends and driving his obnoxiously loud dodge around town. He had a baby pug named Lucy that he adored and was convinced she would help him “pick up chicks” with her cuteness. He enjoyed spending time with his sister, Bryn, and his mom. Will had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh. He was always goofing off. He was a precious boy that loved with all his heart. He died unexpectedly in the early morning hours of New Years Day 2009 at a friend’s house from an accidental overdose. I know that Will would have wanted his death to help raise awareness about the dangers of Fentanyl and mixed intoxication. Just because you are young and healthy does not mean you are invincible, and one wrong decision could cost you your life. We will always miss our son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, and still hold on dearly to the memories that were made with him. He now would have been an uncle to one boy, Jackson, and three girls, Ella, Reverie, and Maisie. He is survived by his parents, Danny and Carolyn; sister, Bryn Morris; grandmother, Sharon (Mimi) Wasson; aunts, Carla Wasson, Loni Fagan, Sissy Smith, and Paula Allen; uncles, Mike Fagan, Kevin Smith, Steven Allen; and a handful of cousins. He was preceded by his grandfathers, Wayne Allen and Robert Burge. At the time he was also survived by his grandfather, Bob Wasson, who has since passed in 2022; and grandmother, Ebie Mitchell Matula, who passed in 2023.
