He briefly attended University of California, Davis before deciding on another path in life.
William changed careers and began working for Shell Oil in 1974 where he worked for many years before transferring to Ken Small Industries where he would later retire from.

Hey Dad,
This is the first birthday we spend without you, but we decided we would make the best of it. We had a dinner in your honor and I even ordered you a birthday cake. It was delicious. We shared memories with family and even cracked jokes on your awesome dancing skills. Your wife, children, and grandchildren spent time at your grave site with you and talked about how much you are missed and loved. We know you are in Heaven celebrating with a huge smile on your face. We will be back again soon to visit. Hope you liked your birthday decor. Happy Birthday Dad. We love you today, tomorrow, and always.
Love your April-lee
Thank you to the beautiful guardian angel family that has continued to watch over dads headstone for us while we are far away. This was the first Dia de Los muertos celebration for Dad. They made his headstone look beautiful. May he continue to rest in peace. 🕊️
