Felice Alvarado
Felice Alvarado, 78 years old of Quincy, passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2001 at the Quincy Valley Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born on June 1, 1923 to Evaristo and Cruz (Sanchez) Alvarado at Gregory, TX. She attended school in Gregory. Felice married Jose Mata in 1942 at Uvalde, TX. They moved to San Antonio, TX where they worked until moving to Quincy in 1961. She was employed at Lamb Weston for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
Mrs. Alvarado is survived by her children, Joe Mata of Quincy, Cecilia Villarreal of Quincy, Dorothy Estrada of San Antonio, TX, Margie Rodriguez of Wapato, Roger Mata of Coolidge, AZ, Fred A. Mata of Seattle, MaryEsther Simchen of Portland, OR, Rose Marie Martinez of East Wenatchee; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001 at 7 p.m. from St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001 at 11 a.m. from St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Concluding services and interment will follow in the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy is in charge of arrangements.
