Leonard Paul Grabert
Love always and forever.
Lenny was born May 13, 1970, in Marrero, Louisiana, Jefferson Parish, to Kenneth Paul Grabert and Fay Ann Ott Grabert. Lenny had a wonderful childhood, and his parents helped him find one of his favorite hobbies, which was bowling. In that hobby, he found his friends and "brothers: for life, Rob LaHue and Phil Rudolph. Lenny always loved them dearly and was grateful for the continual love and support they gave throughout his life.
Lenny graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School and moved to Utah in 1996. Shortly after moving to Utah, he married the love of his life, Samantha Dumas, in 1997. Together, they had four wonderful children and built a beautiful life. He and his family lived every day like it was their last, which means they loved hard and enjoyed every single minute together. Lenny was an amazing father who was always present and there for his children, wife, and anyone who needed him.
Lenny continued his education by getting his bachelor's degree from Utah Valley University with a bachelor's degree, and his master's degree from North Arizona University. Len worked in home health, hospice, and the Veterans Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Those who knew Lenny knew he was the kindest human on the planet with a heart of gold. Len loved all sports, but football was his all-time favorite. His wife always said he was a walking sports almanac. Growing up in Marrero, Louisiana, he was a short 15-minute drive to New Orleans, which made him a New Orleans Saints fan since birth. When August came each year, you would hear him say, "Do you hear that? It's football season, the most wonderful time of the year."
Lenny is survived by his wife, Samantha Lynn Dumas Grabert, and beautiful children, Samuel Aaron Grabert, Aysa Irene Grabert, Andrew Paul Grabert, and Seth Joseph Grabert; his dad, Kenneth Paul Grabert, sister Tina Marie Grabert Champagne (Shane); many nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, friends and those he loved and felt in his heart his family. Len is preceded in death by his mom, Fay Ann Ott Grabert.
Lenny's family would like to give a big thank you to all his amazing medical providers, whom they came to love as a family. They could not have had him as long as they did without you. They would also like to say that they are so grateful to all the friends and family who have supported and loved them through this process, whom they love dearly-they could not have done it without you!
We will miss you dearly, we love you, life was perfect together; there are no regrets, and we will see each other again. Geaux Saints!!! Who Dat!!!
