Kate Lynn Serkisyan was born on May 25, 1999, and passed away on April 19, 2026, at just 26 years old. Though her life was far too short, the impact she left on the people around her was immeasurable.
Kate was a devoted registered mother-baby nurse whose compassion, warmth, and dedication to her patients led to multiple nominations for the prestigious DAISY Award. Nursing was more than a profession to her, it was part of who she was. She had a natural ability to make people feel safe, cared for, and understood during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives.
To know Kate was to know someone who loved deeply. She was a beloved daughter, a sister, and the kind of friend who could make even ordinary moments unforgettable. She brought laughter into every room, whether through spontaneous adventures, late-night conversations, shopping trips, or coffee runs. She had a love for fashion and beauty, always expressing herself through her style, and she carried an energy that made people gravitate toward her effortlessly.
Kate also loved to travel and experience the world around her. Whether it was beach vacations, exploring new places, or simply planning the next adventure with the people she loved most, she cherished making memories and living life fully. She found joy in the little things: sunsets, music, matching outfits with friends, browsing stores for hours, and sharing stories that turned into inside jokes.
Behind her bright smile, Kate hid her struggles. Her journey was one marked by incredible strength, even during the moments when that strength was difficult to see. Her passing is a heartbreaking reminder that even the people who shine the brightest can carry heavy pain within them.
Kate will be remembered for the way she lived —with compassion, humor, style, adventure, and a heart that cared deeply for others. Her memory lives on in every life she touched, every patient she comforted, and every person lucky enough to have loved her. She will forever be missed, forever cherished, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew her.
May you rest in peace in heaven and have eternal life in heaven forever Kate you will be missed by everyone that you love and your family and friends and the people that you do not know everyday my sister just tell me that you passed away on April 19 2026 and you used to come over the house
Kate and I crossed paths for a brief period in high school. We worked together at our local grocery store, where she served as a mentor. When I think about her I remember her intelligence, the pride she took in everything she did, and her infectious smile. When I learned Kate was going to be a nurse, it made so much sense to me, as she was so caring and attentive. She was one of those people born to make the world a better place. I’m lucky to have known her. All my love to all of her loved ones. Thank you Kate for being a friend.
High school was a really rough time for me, but Kate always showed me compassion and kindness. I’ll always remember for her big heart and smile, and am grateful to have had the pleasure of calling her a classmate, teammate, and friend.
