Life story

Casey Stauff was born on March 18, 1976 in Oconomowoc, WI to Brian and Kathy (Gartzke) Stauff, joining his two older siblings, Clint and Cory Stauff.

Growing up in Whitewater, WI, Casey made many friends and always proved to be the life of the party, the jokester, the risk taker, and always willing to lend a hand. Casey graduated from Whitewater High School in 1994.

On July 17, 1998, at the age of 22, Casey welcomed his first child, Micayla, into the world. With the love and protection of a first time father, he watched her grow. He enjoyed all the moments and memories they made together.

In mid 2006, Casey met Christine Britton, along with her young daughter Evelyn (born February 17, 2006). A blind date that was set up by Christine’s sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Justin Petitt, sparked a love that would truly stand the tests of time.

On May 17, 2008, the weekend of a huge dart tournament in Green Bay, WI (that Casey was in), Casey rushed back to Janesville, WI to meet Christine at the hospital where they welcomed their son, Chase, into the world.

Casey & Christine lived in Janesville where they built their life together. They married on August 17, 2014 and divorced 5 short years later. Only being separated for a few months, their love for one another brought them back. They continued to share their lives together and went on many adventures through the years.

In 2010, Casey began his career at US Autoforce. Throughout his years there, he held many roles. He enjoyed his most recent role, getting to travel the country to different Autoforce locations, where he could lend a hand and guide his team to get the job done; from taking inventory, to reorganizing, to transitioning their warehouses for optimal performance. Casey became very well known in the company, and received recognition for his hard work by earning the Brian Van Stralen “Git-R-Done” award in 2025.

On February 9, 2023, Casey became the proud grandfather (Dude) to Annalynn, born to Micayla and Kyle Nelson. Casey had so much love for her and enjoyed making her laugh and bringing her pink donuts with sprinkles from Dunkin.

Throughout his life, Casey has been a generous man. He was always willing to help a friend in need. He would go out of his way to make sure that the people around him were taken care of. Casey was so proud of his three children and his granddaughter. He did what he could to spend time and create everlasting moments with them.

Casey was a protector and a shoulder to lean on. He was a son to Brian and Kathy (Gartzke) Stauff, a brother to Clint Stauff and Cory (Michelle) Stauff, a spouse to Christine Britton, a father to Micayla (Kyle Nelson), Evelyn Britton, and Chase Britton, a grandfather to Annalynn Nelson (daughter of Micayla/Kyle Nelson), an uncle to children of Cory/Michelle Stauff: Connor Stauf, Kiyla Kopecky, and Cali Kopecky, child of Clint Stauff: Chloe Stauff, child of Justin/Laura Petitt: Carson Petitt, child of Samantha Ellefson: Eric Ellefson, a godfather to Connor Stauff, Carson Petitt, and Carson Kilpin (son of Shane and Lynn Kilpin), a son-in-law to David and Debra Britton, brother-in-law to Justin and Laura (Britton) Pettit, and Samantha (Britton) Ellefson, and so much more. He had a passion for hunting, golfing, being on the water, watching the Green Bay Packers, cooking, mowing the lawn, and building things. Most of all, Casey’s passion for helping others and making everyone around him happy, made him the most amazing man that we all know and love. The world will never be the same without the light he brought with him. We must honor him, in true Casey fashion of always showing compassion, kindness, and love to all and come together to build up the legacy of his life. Togetherness is everything and together Casey lives in us all.
