I miss you more than you'll ever know!
Nicole
Nicole was born on Friday, August 31, 1984. She was welcomed into this world at Humana Women's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana at 7:46 a.m. by Mom and Dad, while big sister Jennifer and Granny waited down the hall. She was a healthy baby girl and a joy and she was wanted and loved greatly.
Nicole was a curious and independent child. She was funny and smart. She always did well throughout her school years. When the family relocated from Shelbyville, Indiana to Fort Payne, Alabama in 1989 she attended Adamsburg School in Fort Payne, Alabama, K-8th grade and went on to graduate with honors from Fort Payne High School in 2002. She attended Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama on a full academic scholarship for one year.
Nicole was briefly married to Chris Dotinga in 2005.
Nicole struggled with mental health issues and was in therapy and being treated for bipolar disorder.
Nicole left us on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 leaving behind broken hearts and many questions that can never be answered.
Some things I remember and love about Nicole:
She could make you laugh by being silly or telling a really stupid joke, all the while laughing so hard she could barely tell it. Some of you will know the one.
She loved reading and some of her favorites were the Harry Potter series and Twilight series. I would aggravate her and read the last page of the latest Harry book just to tell her I knew how it ended. She would never read the end first, but then neither would I. She kept telling me to read the Twilight series, that I would like it. After her telling me it was about vampires and werewolves but a love story, I told her it just wasn't for me. She died before the last book was released and that made me sad that she didn't get to finish the series. I would eventually read the whole series, go to every movie and visit Forks, Washington with her sister and friends as a way to honor and remember Nicole. She truly was with us the whole time.
She loved music and dancing in the club. She loved singing along in the car and certain songs remind me of the days we would sing together.
She was always up for a shopping trip, anytime, anywhere, for anything.
She loved animals, especially her dogs Paige, Kimber & Gryff.
She was sad, she struggled, she sought help, she couldn't stay.
She was beautiful and loved.
