Life story

Christine Ann Miller (née Lyons) was born to Thomas and Donata Lyons and grew up in Oak Valley, New Jersey. She graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1981, where she formed lifelong friendships she cherished for decades.

Chris knew she wanted to pursue business and began her career at RCA — where she met the love of her life, Lee. Their first date in Wildwood, New Jersey, marked the beginning of a beautiful love story. They married on May 19, 1984, and shared 40 wonderful years together, raising two children (Brian and Jenna) who she adored and celebrated endlessly.

Chris had so many joys and passions. She loved traveling the world. She was always researching the next place she wanted to visit. Her highlights included London, Paris, Germany, Aruba, Bermuda, the Bahamas, St. Thomas, California, the Carolinas, Florida and the Florida Keys, and especially Hawaii. She frequently visited her brother Dan at his home in Hawaii. Regular Friday nights were spent with their neighbors and their children — who felt like grandchildren to her — filled with laughter, food, drinks, and cherished memories. She loved shopping with her daughter Jenna and her sister Trish, especially for purses, and had a knack for finding the best deal. Her love language was gift-giving, always surprising family and friends with thoughtful treasures. She had a fondness for angels, flowers, heart-shaped things, and seashells.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures: trips to the Jersey Shore, the Philadelphia Flower Show, movies, new restaurants, manicures, live music — especially country artists — and playing roulette with her lucky numbers. She loved cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. Her attention to detail shone in everything she did, from making lists of places to visit, favorite songs, quotes, and ideas for the future.

Chris had a deep love for animals and shared her life with beloved pets Maddie and Oliver. Just a month before her passing, she rescued a puppy named Lucy — now an enduring gift of comfort and love for her husband Lee.

Above all, Chris had a natural ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her. Her humor was effortless, and she made everyone's day brighter simply by being herself.

Chris passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2024, at the age of 61. She is the beloved wife of Lee, loving mother of Brian and Jenna (Jonathan), devoted sister of Daniel (Debbie), James, and Trish, and is survived by many loved nieces, nephews and dear friends.
