With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael “Mike” DiPaolo on April 30’ 2026 at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, surrounded by his loving family in his 91st year.
Mike will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 64 years Arlene, his loving children Arlette, Nic and Joelle (Tony). Devoted Pappy to Taylor (Loris), Micayla (Vittoria), Michael (Elisa), and much loved Bisnonno to Giordano and Giuliana. Adored Uncle of Michele Bauer, and great- uncle to Aidan and Jack. Mike was also treasured by many extended family members and numerous friends.
Predeceased by his parents, Concetta and Nicolo DiPaolo and sister-in-law Maureen Garrison.
Mike’s life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and traditions held dear. He was the cornerstone of the family – a steady, guiding presence who believed that family was everything. He took immense pride in bringing everyone together, especially around the table for his cherished Sunday dinners.
Mike was a man who “had a guy” for everything, always resourceful, always connected and always ready with a solution or helping hand. Whether he was offering advice, making a call, or simply showing up (most times with food) when it mattered most, he made life feel a little easier for those around him.
In his leisure, Mike found joy in simple pleasures – soaking up the sun, cooking, playing cards with his buddies, or the excitement of enjoying a day at the racetrack. These weren’t just hobbies for him, they were opportunities to connect, celebrate life and create memories.
His grandchildren were his most cherished prize. Mike never ever missed a game, recital or any kind of event – always present and always cheering them on.
The importance of family, loyalty and showing up for one another was always instilled by Mike. His values are deeply rooted in all of us. Though he is no longer with us, Mike’s legacy will live on in our hearts, in every shared meal, every story told and every moment we are together.
