Linda Fisher Pierce

Linda Pierce, a beautiful wife and mother, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025.

Born July 27, 1943, Linda was the daughter of Eldredge French Fisher and Ida Pearl Fisher. She grew up fishing with her father and gardening with her mother. Her mother's family (the Williams) were wonderful cooks, and they passed down those traditions to her - all the way to her grandchildren.

Linda grew up in an Episcopal church, but when she married Stacy Pierce, from Maple Hill, she attended Spring Primitive Baptist Church when they first got married. She had a strong faith in God and loved serving her church with her husband, who is now the pastor of Spring Primitive Baptist Church.

Linda was a wonderful mother and wife. She was a seamstress, florist and teacher's aide. She worked just as hard outdoors as she did inside the house.

She is survived by her husband, William Stacy Pierce and her children: Dennis Pierce (Patti) of Jacksonville, NC and children: Jacob (Lora) of Virgina, Joseph, Nathan and Rebecca of Jacksonville NC

Keith Pierce (Lisa) and children: Tabetha (Andrew) of Jacksonville, NC, Heather (Shane), and Jonathan of Raleigh, NC. Daughter Colleen of Jacksonville, NC.

Kathy Tormenti (Mike) of Jacksonville, NC and children: Anthony of Cary, NC, Victoria (Nick) of Colorado, Andrew (Mizuki) of Japan and Elizabeth (Jacksonville, NC).

Terry Batchelor (Todd) and children: -Staci of Charlottle, NC and Sumer of Maryland

Linda has 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren – Emily, Hazel and Joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldredge and Pearl Fisher, brothers Morris (Melvina) and Murray (Betty-living) and sister Judy (Bobby – living). She is survived by brother Eddie Fisher (Julie).

The viewing will be held on Monday August 25, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.

The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Spring Primitive Baptist Church 24229 NC Hwy 50, Maple Hill - 28454- at 11:00 AM. Grave site prayer after, followed by fellowship back at the church.
