Some people bring light so great to the world that even after they are gone, the light remains.
Dawn was born on January 16, 1970, to Bill and Pat, and grew up in Waverly, Minnesota, alongside her three brothers, Dave, Steve, and Dan, and her two sisters, Brenda and Kim. Family and friends meant everything to Dawn, and some of her very best friends in life were her sisters, Brenda and Kim, her dear friend Melanie, and her cousin MaryBeth.
Dawn had a fun, vibrant personality that stayed with her her entire life. She had a natural way of drawing people in wherever she went, and she truly could talk to anyone. Her warmth, humor, and easygoing spirit made people feel comfortable and welcome.
She was a talented hairdresser and the proud owner of Creations Salon in Waverly, where she spent years making people feel beautiful inside and out. Her salon was more than a business—it was a place filled with friendship, laughter, and connection.
Dawn was engaged to Michael and loved spending time with him, especially in her favorite place—Florida. She also adored her two Boxers, Karl and Blanche, who brought her endless joy. She loved reading, learning about new conspiracy theories, and sharing those conversations with anyone willing to listen.
Dawn passed away in November 2022 at the age of 52. She is deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, kindness, and unforgettable spirit will always be remembered.
