Living away was hard but what a joy to come home every summer and have auntie sleepovers and spend time with family. I will always remember the silly faces, laughs, and love. ❤️ and I always appreciated Ethan helping me eat the Costco size jars of Nutella!
I will always be grateful for Ethan helping Emma feel brave jumping off the boat at Vermillion. Any time she was nervous about something Ethan would be there to do it with her. Jumping off boat? No problem Emma, we got this. Getting hit with whipped cream? So fun. He even helped her build a sandcastle on the beach. I appreciated him always being there for her!
One day after school, Ethan and I were outside when a Black-capped Chickadee sang, well, I knew its song repeated within seconds, so I said. "Ethan, I can talk to that bird. When the chickadee sang, I mimicked right back, and the chickadee sang right back. The look on Ethan John's face...priceless! Memories cherished ☘️❤️☘️
Ethan loved kneeboarding and showing off just a little. If he saw someone on the shoreline, he would glide across the water toward the onlookers, spinaround on the board, all smiles. 😃 I loved watching Ethan kneeboard with a big smile on his face!
When Ethan was approximately 8 years old, at grammaShamrock's after school, we were in the kitchen and I bent over to pick up his school backpack, Ethan declares, "gramma, you got a big butt," I right on cue starting singing "I like big butts and I cannot lie (Sir Mix-a-lot). The look on Ethan's face...priceless (the look of gramma, your crazy)!
