Just saying hi, I've changed the flowers in the pots for the winter ahead. Think of you all, every day. I'm just giving you advance notice Damien, I will be putting a Christmas themed pot on before Christmas. You can complain to Dad about it, he will probs just laugh at you! Really miss you all xxxxx

Happy 80th Birthday, Dad ❤️
Today we should be celebrating your 80th birthday, but instead you will be forever 78.
I really don’t know where the time has gone, because some days it still feels like yesterday that we lost you. I miss you just as much today as I did then, and I would give anything to have you here with us celebrating.
I miss so many things about you. Your dry sense of humour, your funny stories, your opinions on absolutely everything going on in the world and, of course, Sky News always being on. I miss hearing you talk about the rugby and cricket, your Belgian Blues, fishing and putting out the crab pots.
But more than anything, I just miss you.
I miss having my Dad here. I miss knowing you were there, worrying about us like you always did and making sure everyone was okay.
You worked hard your whole life for your family. Everything you did was for me, Sean and Patrick, and later your grandchildren and great-grandchildren who you absolutely adored. Family meant everything to you.
Dementia took so much from you and from all of us. We lost little pieces of you for years before we finally had to say goodbye, and I still wish with all my heart that I could have done something to make you better.
Today isn’t how your 80th birthday should have been.
We should be laughing with you, listening to one of your stories and celebrating another year with you.
Instead, we will celebrate you and remember all the things that made you Dad.
I hope wherever you are, you know how much we love you and how very much we miss you.
I would give anything for one more hug, one more laugh, one more conversation and just one more ordinary day with you.

Memories
Came to visit you all today. I was only thinking during the week of when Dad used to bring us up to killurin when we were younger to see the big birds you had ( not Joyce, the ones in the field 😂) could of been ostrichs and checking on the eggs in the shed. You are all missed so much.
